Happy Birthday Tawnia! I hope that you had an amazing day!

Trumpet Boy

They grow up so fast. It feels like just yesterday that they were learning to walk and tomorrow they will be no longer "kids" anymore. Don't let your fading memory get the best of you. Photos are a great way to bring back those precious memories to the front of your mind.

Here's some motivation for those who want a sweet deal:

Refer a friend who purchases a photo session (excluding an individual session) from me and you'll receive one FREE child studio session. Contact me soon so we can schedule a time and work out all the details.

Experimenting with Breakfast

The real test to know whether a meal you cook is up to par is to get a child's opinion. They are upfront and honest about cooking and they will tell you if they don't like it. I couldn't decide whether I wanted to make crepes or omlettes the other day, so I made both and put them together. An omlette inside a crepe! My youngest here enjoyed it until after about four bites, then exclaimed that he was done and ran off to the family room to continue playing with his toys. I considered that a victory.

Back in Action

So I kinda have been away from the blog for a while, as you noticed. I have been working on my master's degree for the past year and a half, and wanted to make sure that I was doing well with that before scheduling photo shoots again. I haven't been idle though. I look back on that last year and a half and remember one of my favorite movies---The Count of Monte Cristo. Remember when Edmond Dant├Ęs goes to prison and develops all those skills from the old, imprisoned priest? I see these last 18 months as a time like that for me, where I have taken a break from the world and learned from some excellent mentors of photography.

Well, I'm back now with more knowledge and better equipment. I have been developing a website as well to compliment this blog. It will be up and running very soon. Until then, know that I am back in action, ready to capture those memories. Contact me for any of your photography (or videography) needs: from newborns to families to weddings.

Holi in New Delhi

Remember to watch in 1080p for the best possible experience!!!
Enjoy this video of my last adventure in India. I happened to be there during Holi. The mission president put together the activity and invited all members and missionaries to participate. We first had a water battle where we packed into the back of six different trucks, with each truck containing a big bucket of colored water. We then drove up and down the street, shooting each other with water guns. We then went to a nearby park for the powder battle.

The activity was a blast! It only took me three days to get powder out of my ears. If you ever have a chance to go to India, choose to go during Holi---you'll enjoy it.

(By the way, I did not color correct these shots in any way---they are all straight out of the camera. I used the GoPro HD Hero2 camera for this entire video.)

Oquirrh Mountain Temple

My wife's aunt asked me to take some photos of the Oquirrh Mountain Temple for her home. Here are my three favorites:
